Hi everyone,

Be sure to order your 2011 farmer’s almanac. It has valuable and surprisingly accurate information and long-range weather forecasts. Plus really cute and helpful articles (several!) through the entire book.

One note: I ordered the one pictured above from Amazon thinking it was like one I had gotten several years ago, but the one I got last year was much more helpful! The one that was more helpful was this one:

You can get yours here: http://www.farmersalmanac.com/where-to-buy/

Pretty sure Amazon has this too but I haven’t looked myself.

Thanks for stopping by!

Radish Harvest!

I harvested the first of the radishes the other day!

They were pretty small, but the rows needed thinning anyway. They were VERY tasty. Not as spicy as I would like, but at least my daughter can have some then too.

The type of radish I got was a “Cherry Belle” They are a solid bright red and smaller variety. I left them in the garden 2 weeks longer than the 22 days to harvest and even now the vast majority are not ready to harvest yet.

SO!

Last fall because of an early frost and my frustration with losing just about everything in my wonderful outdoor garden I completely forgot about my carrots!! I never harvested them and they are still alive out there!!! And, THEY LOOK GREAT!

I am curious to see how they taste but they look awesome.

I will post pictures in a future post. 🙂
